If there is no manufacturer's advice notice for a more frequent maintenance schedule, all lifts placed in private residential houses are required by law to be maintained at least every three months. Do speak with your lift contractor for further information regarding the manufacturer's suggested lift maintenance schedule.

For the counter-weight strike plate and spring buffer at the lift pit to remain in a safe, predetermined clearance, the lift wire rope needs to be cut shorter. Elongation of the wire rope is typical given that it results from repeated use of the lift.

Our Standard Maintenance Package will include monthly lift maintenance to identify or keep an eye out for any early symptoms of wear and tear, as well as corrective actions to keep the lift operating efficiently which also 24-hour call-back service.

In addition to the required preventive lift maintenance and a 24-hour call back service in the event of a lift breakdown or passenger entrapment, our Comprehensive Lift Maintenance Package covers any repairs and most part replacements that may be necessary during the contract period.

- Lubricating and cleaning of lift equipment (lift car top, door headers, etc), except the day to day cleaning operations of lift well, lift entrances and inside of lift car.

- The lift equipment is inspected and tested for proper operation, including all essential settings and safety features functional.

- Any parts found to be faulty or worn out during the monthly servicing shall be addressed in accordance to the type of maintenance package signed with Ken-Jo.

Please make sure that the lift has a specific phone point so that our technicians may have it connected to the phone in lift car.

There is an option to permanently install a phone charger in the lift car along with a dedicated mobile phone and sim card. For a cost, the wire for the phone charger attached to the lift power source is used. (Lift owner shall provide phone and phone charger)

Upon completion of lift servicing or part replacement by our authorized staff, payments can be made by cheque made payable to Ken-Jo Industries Pte Ltd. For information on payment methods such as online banking, GIRO, or AXS, you may also call our accounts department at 6853 4601.

Common parts that experience wear and tear are usually door components (rollers, guides, and lock contacts, etc), guide shoes, lift call buttons, and batteries.

Yes, the lift owner may inform the Building & Construction Authority of their plan, and the lift contractor will make arrangements for the lift to be shut down. The owner acknowledges that there will be no offset of lift warranty and that all unused free sessions of lift maintenance shall be forfeited by suspending the lift PTO and shutting down the lift. For information on the costs associated with recommissioning and reapplying for a lift permit to operate, please get in touch with the lift contractor.
